Emergency Response, Relief and Rehabilitation
Natural disasters are inevitable even though can be monitored. Pakistan was struck by an unprecedented earthquake (2005), the scars of the quake were still haunting till the shocking massive flood of (2010) and were followed by the Dengue virus outbreak (2011) and the tragic Siachin avalanche in 2012. For all of these risks, calculated, proactive and exigent response are indeed necessary to faces these challenges.

QAF was quick to act swiftly for the cause of the flood affected areas. We have planned and on the verge of hatching our plan for the victims of the flood. We have clear targets which include the homeless, those that have forfeited their (agricultural) livelihood, the health sectors and schools for children. The desperate necessity of these facilities cannot be underestimated; it is rather exigent and cogent to work towards rehabilitation of these people. Given the heavy loss of almost 2,500 households and the heavy monsoon in UC AzakhailPayan Union Council of Nowshera district in KPK province, QAF chooses to render our service to the selected district.
QAF started fogging activities in underprivileged areas such as Kachi Abadi and we also defogged local mosques and police stations. Awareness through printed materials in local language with pictorial representations are being distributed by the respective teams to help people understand the methods of preventing dengue. QAF is closely working with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to establish a fully equipped Epidemic Control Centre (ECC) which will help communities fight the spread of dengue.
